Capturing Treasury Page
In my Etsy Beadweaving group, some of the members have stated that they do not know how to do a screen capture of their treasuries for their blogs or photo albums. I will give a little tutorial on how I do it.First download a freeware program called webCollect. This is an Internet Explorer Add-on. This program captures part of a page or the whole web page not just what you can see. You can then edit (crop), resize, and annotate this page before you save it to a graphic file. You will also have the option to send the page to a printer or as an email. Once you run this program, you will have a toolbar on your Internet Explorer toolbar. The first is a screen capture (only the part you see on your screen). Second allows you to pick the part of the screen that you want to copy. The fourth allows you to copy the entire webpage.
Go to the treasury that you want to copy. Click on the square with a down arrow icon, bring the red square over to the down arrow, scroll down highlighting the area you want to download, and another window will open with the web snapshot of this page.
You can then do whatever cropping and annotating that you want to do before you save it to a graphic file.
If you should forget to crop it before saving, download another freeware program Paint.NET to do the modifications to the picture. This program was originally developed as a replacement for Microsoft Paint. This program has been compared to some of the other more expensive digital photo editing programs. This program is very good and easy to learn. With this program, you can resize your pictures also. All the editing features that you need for pictures for your Etsy site, your website and your photo sharing sites.
