Free Patterns Page

Well, I updated my website today.  I added 2 new pages.  The first new page is a Free Patterns page.  This has a link to my second page which is Christmas Ornaments for Our Troops. My daughter, Angel of Angelique’s Creations, created some little Christmas ornaments for me to put on my site for the American Angels Christmas Ornament project.   They are making ornaments of any type craft to decorate small and large Christmas tree to send to our deployed soldiers to give them a piece of home.  These ornaments have to be mailed out between September 15-30, 2008.  That means as soon as I finish my Etsy Bead Weavers (EBW) Complementary Contradictions Challenge bracelet I will have to start on those.  I always put things off til the last moment.I will be adding other free patterns as we come up with them.   No guarantees how soon that will be.  We are both busy with our lives and no matter how much we try, life gets in the way of our creativity.

I will try to do some for the 2009 Breast Cancer Heart Quilts sponsored by Jeannette Shanigan but not sure if I will be able to come up with any unique designs for them.  I may just use patterns myself from the ones others have created for this reason.  Only time will tell.  Members of the EBW team are going to be making squares for this cause.  Hopefully we will be able to make enough of them to make a whole quilt from just us.

A quilt of just EBW is such a great idea! It could be a physical thing to unite our online community! AND for a great cause!

But yes, even if we don’t, we’ll still be making a difference :-)

It would be really fun if we did get enough for a quilt of just Etsy Beadweavers, wouldn’t it? But if we don’t, it’s okay too. Everyone is awfully busy, I know.
