God Bless Texas
I belong to the Etsy Texas Crafters Team (etc) on Etsy. One of my fellow members, Cheryl of Cheryl’s Purple Cow curated a treasury, God Bless Texas in which she featured my Patriotic Turtles Bracelet (end of first row). Other members of my ETC team featured in this treasury are berrybluecreations, jackrabbitflats, Corkycrafts, elephantdreams, wiseimpressions, Brendaswhite, cherylspurplecow, owlsay, scrabbles, EDCCollective, and HandPaintedPetals.
If you take a little romp around the Cheryl’s Purple Cow shop you will find that she is really into Awareness jewelry. Most of her treasuries are normally on different types of awarenesses. I will show you a couple of examples here but your really need to go check out her shop and see what she has to offer.
The reason that I picked these two items is that purple also represents Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. My mother died in April 2001 of Pancreatic Cancer. She had one year with us after she was diagnosed. I was able to be there at the end for her thanks to Hospice, for which I am glad as it helped in the grieving process. My bothers, who were not able to be there at the end, took a long time in their grieving process. I would highly recommend Hospice when an illness like cancer cannot be cured.
Other members of our ETC team create beautiful awareness items for sale. Please check out these shops also.

Thank you all for your lovely comments.
Erika, yes, it is a wonderful tribute to my mom and all families that have had members die of pancreatic cancer. It is cool that I published that on the UK Mother’s Day…and I didn’t even know it. LOL
Sending, sorry to hear that your mom died of pancreatic cancer, too.
EDC, thank you for your comment on hospice.
Larry, thank you for your incite about Cheryl taking care of her mother. She is a woman to be proud of and I am glad you are proud to call her your wife.
Cheryl, you are welcome. If I am in a treasury, I always try to write it up. Sometimes I am a little late for them to click and comment but I always try to put links to their shops and feature an item from their shops. Thank you for the link to your awareness ribbon colors. When I create a pattern meant for awareness of some disease, I include a chart of the colors so they can change it to the colors they want people to be aware of.
Marilyn
Thank you for helping me get the Awareness word out.
If you would like to find out which color Awareness Ribbon represents your cause you can look it up on my blog page here:

Lovely article, what you may not know about Cheryl. She cared for her mother who had Ovarian cancer and lived three years. She also had help from hospice, while her brother was unable to be there. You have so many similarities and I thank you for featuring her. I guess you can tell that I am her husband.
Great post Marilyn. I too can’t say enough good things about hospice.
Awesome Treasury!
wonderful feature, Marilyn…I too lost my mom to pancreatic cancer.
A lovely treasury, Marilyn. And a lovely tribute also to your Mom – pancreatic cancer, like all cancers, is a terrible disease which I’ve lost two very close friends to. {{{hugs}}} to you in remembrance of your mom especially today as its Mothers Day in the UK xxx
What a wonderful treasury — congrats on the feature and thanks so much for sharing!
It’s a lovely treasury!
