Google Translator Added To Blog

Angel and I have been playing with a wonderful Google Translator created by V.J.Catkick.  We were looking for a translator for our blogs so that anyone in the world could read it.

Angel found Google Translator but it wouldn’t work in our blogs.  I thought it might be because it was created for WordPress 2.5.  So, I wrote to the creator of the widget and asked her if it would ever become WordPress 2.7 capable.

It turns out that it had nothing to do with the version of my WordPress.  When I loaded the widget, it captured the blog link as blog.grandma-marilyns.com.  In reality, my link is really www.blog.grandma-marilyns.com.

V.J. told me where to go to correct the problem and told me that she would send in an updated widget program to WordPress.  She had this completed and uploaded to WordPress in no time.  Now all I have to do is wait for the corrected version to tell me to upload it.

In the meantime, because V.J. was willing to share a quick fix with me, I am able to play with my blog and see it in all kinds of languages.  It is really cool.

If you have a WordPress themed blog and would like to have a translator that has a clean-cut look, by all means load this one to your blog.
