Grandma Marilyn’s Update
Sorry I haven’t posted to my blog for a while. I have been really busy getting patterns designed, beading and trying to get my shops changed around. Not to mention that on July 4th I fell and damaged my knee big time. I go to the Orthopedic doctor next week and we will find out whether I need surgery or not.
I have decided to put my Etsy shops on vacation after all of their items are sold or expire. I have been spending a lot of money on fees and getting very few sales. I might consider reopening them in the future but not sure as of right now.
I will start concentrating on these shops:
My Zibbet shop, Grandma Marilyn’s (what else…LOL), will contain items from all 3 of my Etsy shops (ie, finished beadwork, bead patterns, finished craft items, and other craft supplies). I hope to be adding some new items to this shop also.
If you should want to open your own Zibbet shop, Zibbet is offering a free month on a Premium shop until Jul 19th by entering the coupon code "MONTHOFF". If you find you don’t like Zibbet after that month, you just cancel and owe nothing. If you like Zibbet, there are still 127 Premium shops left at $9 per month. Also, if someone signs up under you for a Premium shop, you get $1 off per month from your shop fees. No fees to list or to sell. You only fee is the price that is negotiated at the time you sign up. You can quit at any time.
I have 4 shops in Ecrater that the items from Etsy will be separated into.
GrandmaMarilyns-Beadwork will contain all the items from GrandmaMarilyns Etsy shop.
GrandmaMarilyns-Beadpatterns will contain all of my bead patterns. I might let others add their patterns to this shop. Don’t know as yet.
GrandmaMarilynsCrafts will contain craft items other than beadwork and jewelry (ie, kitchen towels). As you know, I tried other crafts before I got into beading.
GrandmaMarilyns-CraftSupplies will contain craft supplies that I will be passing on to others because I no longer do the crafts anymore or because I find duplicate books, etc.
If you would like your own eCrater shop, they are fee free. The only fee that you pay is to paypal.
GrandmaMarilyn’s Lulu Shop will contain my bead patterns, pictures by Angel and I taken with our own cameras that we are selling, and ebooks that I write or edit from public domain. I am debating on splitting these out into 3 different shops but have not done so as yet. Maybe one day in the future after I have finished filling in all the shops above and have time to think about it.
If you would like to open your own Lulu book or photo shop, you will not have to pay to list but will have to pay a fee to Lulu (somewhere between 31-37% [approx] depending on what item you are selling) and to paypal.
I think I have gone on enough about what is going on with Grandma Marilyn’s. Please pray that my knee does not need to have surgery. If it does, that will mean that I will be away from all my friends for a while until I can get back to using my computer and designing my patterns.
