Patriotic Turtles Bracelet

Well, I am having troubles uploading my picture to Yahoo Groups so will upload it here for everyone to see.  Here is a picture of my naked Patriotic Turtles Bracelet (a quick and dirty).  It is still awaiting its clasp.  You can’t see it that well in this picture but it has a line of red and blue around the outside edges.

Well, was it worth the wait?  I hope so.  I will have the bracelet up for sale in my GrandmaMarilyns probably tomorrow. Well, if I don’t decide to keep it.  It is a size 8…just my size.  It is so soft and silky.  I am not used to that in my peyote. 

I am self taught so thought that the way my peyote was so stiff was natural.  Then I won a prize of an amulet bag from Sandfibers that was so soft and silky.  But thought I couldn’t do that.  Then I was sent some peyote items that were even more soft and silky.  So I started asking questions and got quite a few answers on how to do it.  I did what they told me on this bracelet and it works.  I can actually make wonderful slinky bracelets and cuffs now.  Can you tell I am excited.  Plus I was always afraid of odd count peyote because of the turn.  I found a wonderful tutorial on 5 different versions of the turn.  I used version #2 and it is great.  I will write another post on that experience later.

Ok, now what type of clasp should I put on it?  I am trying to decide between a matching peyote bar and loop or a Swarovski fold over magnetic clasp with a red crystal.  I think I am kinda leaning toward the peyote bar.  If so, It will be tomorrow before you see the finished piece.  Hopefully I will have the pattern ready for sale in Bead Pattern Boutique by tomorrow or Monday.

    Hey babe, this is the first time I have been to your website and I ever impressed! I love the little thing that has all the different pics or your bracelets and gives a slide show.
    I would like to have something like that on mine, but don’t know what to ask for?
    Can you tell me what it is called and I guess you knew that the breast cancer theme this year is a turtle! I guess that is because if you have cancer you want it to be the slow growing kind? Love you and think your turtle bracelet is cute as can be!
