Preparing Listings for Treasuries
A fellow Etsy Texas Crafters (ETC) member, Cheryl of CherylsPurpleCow, wrote a series of blog posts on how to prepare your items for treasuries. I will give you a brief explanation of each but you will have to go to her blog posts for the full details.
The first post in the series dealt with Tags – Being Specific. Cheryl explains the importance of the tags since they are for buyers as well as treasury curators. She is using “Awareness” as her theme but you can use whatever theme you are thinking of in the same way. She uses tags to narrow down items for her Awareness treasuries since there are literally thousands of items listed for Awareness items.
The second post in her series deals with Color Tags. She explains how you should list your colors in your listings so that you will get more buyers and be picked for treasuries more often.
The most recent post in her series explains about the pictures in your listings. She explains how you can make them more desirable for your buyers and treasury curators. She also explains the importance of using all 14 tags for your item.
If you can think of any other posts she can create that would help you or your fellow etsians be picked for treasuries, send her a convo through cherylspurplecow.
Please go by and check out her blog posts and leave a comment. Tell her I sent you.
I want to add one more comment on this post. Back in June 2008, I wrote a post on Capturing Treasury Pages. If you are having trouble with getting a picture of a treasury you created or were featured in, this post should help you. If you have any problems, just contact me.
