This is a fairly new venue for me.  I first joined Squidoo as grandmamarilyn (what else….LOL) back on February 25, 2010 as part of a campaign with my Jewelry on Etsy (JET) team, which I am no longer a member of.  It was a campaign to promote other members of the team.  I only did a few as I really didn’t understand how to use Squidoo.  I was totally lost.

November, 2010, I decided to give it a try again and did a few more lenses (posts) on Squidoo.  I plugged along learning a little more.  I thought they were great lenses.

On February 1, 2011, I asked one of the other members of Squidoo, Carmen (capriliz), how to do something.  She told me exactly how to accomplish what I wanted to do and then she invited me to join a wonderful group of women called the RocketMoms (RM).  What are the RMs?  They are a gathering of the smartest women on the web, working together to make the best moneymaking Squidoo lenses on Squidoo.  I have written a RocketMoms post for their blog.  You can see it here.

RMs have 8 week sessions with a subject selected every week for us to write a lens about.  The whole idea about this is to learn to make better lenses.  We get these critiqued by the other members of the RM to get them to be even better and learn more about creating lenses.

I went through RM session 12 with the RMs but did not graduate because I did not do all of the lessons.  The next session, we did a cleanup of all of our lenses.  This is when I learned that the ones I had been doing were really flawed. I didn’t finish cleaning up all of my lenses so will have to do that in the future.

We are now in the Spring Session 2011.

Week 1:  Do a lens on about ourselves (I did this on on one of my favorite ways to spend free time and how it came about):  American Historical Fiction.

Week 2:  Do a lens about Interior Design (I did one about our redecorating our living room after our kids left):  Redecorating The Living Room

Week 3:  Write a lens about Mother’s Day or Moms:  (Mainly about jewelry in my ecrater shop): Sparkly Gifts For Mom.

Week 4:  We have to write about Birthdays.  I have not completed this one yet as I have to think about something to write about.  Will write an update post when I do.

Week 5: Uh Oh!  This week we have to write a favorite Top 10 List lens.  I will have to think about this for a while.

Won’t know Week 6-8 until that week.  I hope to graduate this session.  Once I do, I will have a pretty button to show on my lenses.
