Bead Patterns Boutique is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on their bead patterns. This sale is good now through midnight September 3, 2011 (CST).
All of the designers are participating in this sale, except for our newest designer, Valerie of Romina Designs, who just joined our designer team yesterday and has 1 pattern listed so far. She is raring to go for the next big sale though as she will have more wonderful patterns listed in the future.
The rule for this buy 2 get 1 free sale is to buy 2 patterns from an individual designer and request 1 free bead pattern from the same designer. This free pattern cannot be equal to more than 50% of the total value of the 2 purchased patterns. An example would be that you bought one of my pen cover patterns and a matching lighter cover pattern ($5 + $5.50). Your free pattern cannot be for more than $5.25.
Once you have paid for your 2 patterns, send your request for your free pattern to firstname.lastname@example.org along with your receipt number, name, preferred email address for your free pattern to be sent to, and the name of the pattern you are requesting (a link would probably be better).
To get to any of my bead patterns shown above, just click on the pictures and they will take you to the pattern page. To see all of my bead patterns, just go to Grandma Marilyn’s and have fun.
I would love your feedback on what you found when you went to look at the patterns on Bead Patterns Boutique. Don’t forget to come back and leave me a comment. I love to hear from my readers. It lets me know you have stopped by and read my content.

Are you ready for Halloween? It’s taken me a little while but I finally finished 2 Halloween patterns. I had hoped to list more of them as I have quite a few but these two Halloween patterns will have to be all there is for the 2009 Halloween Series. I am selling them separately but will put them together in an eBook for sale at a reduced price. I might be able to sneak one more pattern into the mix as it is almost done being beaded. Now to introduce my patterns to you.
The first pattern I will talk about is my Halloween Black Cats G-2 Pen Wrap. My daughter, Angelique Metz, created this cutie with two black cats (one facing up and one facing down), my granddaughter’s initials at the top and bottom in the spaces, and a fuchsia background. She made this pattern for her because my granddaughter, Anna, loves cats, especially black cats. I was looking at the pattern and asked her how come she hadn’t made the background orange for Halloween. She responded that she hadn’t even thought about it so I took out the initials and made the background orange. It is so cool. I have not created the pattern for the pattern with a fuchsia background and initials yet as I need to come up with the whole alphabet and bead it up so everyone will know what to replace the intials with. I beaded up both of these beauties. You will notice that the Halloween G-2 Pen Wrap is on a pen and the Initial G-2 Pen Wrap is on a Secret Compartment Key Chain with a Security Whistle. I will be selling these in my Artfire shop…well, except for my granddaughter’s.
My second pattern is called Jack-O-Lantern at Night G-2 Pen Wrap. I had created one that had an angry look on it’s face in the daylight and my daughter took it and made it a happy face at night. The idea is that the night carved pumpkin is happy because his light burns bright and the angry jack-o-lantern is unhappy because his candle has been lit during the day and no one can see his light. I don’t have the second one done yet but will try to get it done. I beaded up the night version already but life kept getting in the way of the other. You will notice this wrap is on a Secret Compartment Key Chain. Here they come:
Pilot G-2 Pens can be found almost anywhere. The Secret Compartment Key Chains (both with the Security Whistle and without) can be purchased from Penn State Industries.
I would love to see pictures of your finished pieces. Please send me a picture to Grandma Marilyn’s email.
Well, since going PRO on Artfire, I have been working really hard to get all of my listings that I had transferred over from Etsy revised. Out of 52, I have been able to revise 19 of them so far (really only started this week). Only 33 more to revise. Whew! That doesn’t include the new items that I am going to be adding. I did add 2 of my Pilot G-2 Pens with beaded pen wraps. There are more of these items to come. I also plan to have the beaded pen wraps by themselves.
I have also been included in 3 collection this week. Following are the collections:
This first collection, Artfire Creations Under $33 and Under!, was created by StephanieRonnyeknit1bead2. She featured my Purple Fab 50’s Bracelet (second row, second item). I fell in love with this lovely scarf in her shop.
The second collection, My favorite time of year, was curated by dbvictoria. She featured my Gothic Pendant with Ruby and Black Wave Chain Necklace (second row, first item). I fell in love with this parasol in her shop.
The third and final collection, Meet the jewelry on Artfire guild, was curated by Beadsme. She featured my Stained Glass Cuff (second row, 4th item). I fell in love with this amethyst necklace in her shop. I do so love amethyst.
Please stop by and check out these shops and do some Christmas shopping. All of these items have been handcrafted by quality artisans. Support your handmade artisans and keep the crafting alive.
That is my news on my Artfire shop that I am finally working on. Hope to have more exciting news for you in the near future.
Last month my JET team had a Secret Sweetheart event for Valentines Day where we made jewelry for another member of our team. The gift you received was not from the same member as you sent to.
The team member that was chosen for me to create something beautiful for was Judith of judesjujus. I kept trying to figure out what to make and send her. I kept coming up with ideas but none of them seemed right.
While I was in a creative mood, I made a pair of earrings in a trapeze style (well, that is what I call it). I am not sure what the beads are as my daughter bought them. I think they are some type of jade but not sure. I decided to try a bracelet to match. Boy was that a fiasco. I finally, after about 3 or 4 tries, got the bracelet to come together the way I envisioned it. I was going to put these beauties up for sale in my GrandmaMarilyns shop but they spoke to me and said that they wanted to go to Judith. So to Judith they went. LOL Turns out that they are in her favorite color….green. I was so happy when I read that. She told me that she loves the set. Whew! I can let that breath out now.
My Secret Sweetheart was Victoria of dbvictoria. She created me a beautiful rutilated quartz necklace and earring set. I love the set because it is so dainty and feminine. Victoria even sent my set in a pretty purple box. I do so love purple. hehe
