GrandmaMarilyn On Squidoo

Marilyn-aka-G-Ma

I have been writing articles (lenses) on Squidoo since February 25, 2010.  I had no idea what I was doing but joined this social site for my team on Etsy called the Jewelry on Etsy Team (JETs).  We joined Squidoo so that we could promote other team mate’s shops and what was in them.  I wrote about their shops and they wrote about my shop.

I thought I was doing the lenses really well until I joined a group called the RocketMoms on February 1, 2011, who helped me to understand that they were really second rate and probably wouldn’t be looked at.  Sorry, JETs.

I write on a variety of subjects.  My main categories are crafts, cooking, and my online enterprises.  I go through periodically to make sure that I am still up-to-date with information that I find.  I also correct any errors that I may have made in the previous postings. And, add or delete modules to make it better.

If you love to write, you should join Squidoo.  Squidoo is a social site where you write articles and are able to make money from advertising within the lenses and with adwords.

Don’t be expecting to receive a payment right away.  For one thing, you get paid for 2 months back.  You need to reach a certain amount of money in your account for them to pay out.  You will need to get the word out there for other people to see what you have written also.  This would be through blogging, tweeting, facebooking, and just using the link to that lens whenever it applied in forums or wherever.

If you need help, I will help you all I can.  If you are a woman, you can join the RocketMoms like I did and have them help you make your lenses better.

Oh, I didn’t give you the link to GrandmaMarilyn on Squidoo.  There, now you have it.  If you stop by and read some of my lenses, I would appreciate it if you would respond to the polls and plexos, make comments where requested, and like my lens, if you liked what you read.

Good luck to all of you.  I am not making a fortune yet but it is a start.

Handmade Silver Jewelry by Jewelry24Seven

This week’s JET team shop is owned by two wonderful sterling silver jewelry designers, Bob and Terry, who own Jewelry24Seven.  They have been in the jewelry business in New York for 26 years.  Terry designs the fabulous earrings, bracelets and more with chain, wire and a huge variety of beads. Bob handcrafts rings, pendants and other jewelry from wire, sheet and tube and gemstones.  They love to work in copper and solid precious metals – silver and gold. They also cut and polish cabochons, and create one of a kind jewelry from fine silver PMC (precious metal clay).  They are custom order friendly and would love to make something for you to your specifications or make an item in their shop to your size.

Their handmade silver jewelry has a simple, clean design with an emphasis on color using dichroic and artglass, gemstone beads, cabochons and faceted gems.  Their jewelry is unique because it is handcrafted.  In their shop, you will find handcrafted rings, unique earrings, sterling silver Pendants, adorable anklets, manly cufflinks, unique barrettes, Sterling Silver Chains, handmade bracelets and watches, and, last but not least, unique necklaces and chokers.
