War of the Worlds October Design Contest
The Etsy Texas Crafters (ETC) Team is having a contest with entries based on Orson Well’s War of the Worlds. We had 13 wonderful entries. Come on by and vote for your favorite. I already did. Voting is for today (October 27) only until 11:45 CST.
Every Monday, ETC has something going on.
1. The first Monday of every month, numerous shops have discounts or some other incentive for you. Come on by and shop during this time and save. Once you get into your Etsy account, click on Community. In the search block, it should say Forum Titles. Type "First Monday" in the blank block next to it. You should see a link to a thread that says something like "Etsy Texas Crafters First Monday Sale" Click on that link and you will find all the stores that are participating and what their discount or incentive is. REMEMBER, CHRISTMAS IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. Shop during First Monday Sales and save on all handcrafted items. If you see it and want it, you had better grab it because items will sell fast. 2. The second Monday of every month is What’s New With ETC? A day for ETC members to show off their latest creations and to meet our newest team members! To get to the Forum thread for this event, type in "Etsy Texas Crafters" and look for a thread that says "What’s New with Etsy Texas Crafters" to see what new items are being created by the members of the team and are in their shops for sale. Plus, the new member shops that have been entered that month and all of their wonderful items. 3. The third Monday of the month is ETC has Secrets. The team mascot, Armadillo Tex, is hiding in several of the members’ shops…. Find him and purchase the item in which he is hiding, and you will receive a FREE gift as your reward! To find the thread on this event with the listing of participating shops, type in "ETC has secrets" and click on the most recent thread. Hopefully at the top of the list. Good luck with your search. 4. On the fourth Monday of every month, is a design contest with a theme. Come on by and see their interpretations of the current month’s theme. See the top of this post to see this month’s theme. To find the thread for the design challenge, type in either "design challenge" or "ETC" . The author of the thread should be EtsyTexasCrafters. 5. Then, on the rare fifth monday, we have ETC Cares: You Shop, We Give. During this event, participating team members will donate a percentage of their sales for that day to a charity selected by the team. To find the thread in the Etsy forum for this event, just type in "ETC Cares". Remember that a percentage of everything that you buy from the shops listed at the beginning of this thread and any that add comments saying that they will donate is given to the selected charity that is also in the very first post.
